Work from anywhere in the world online
Every few months I like to recap about my work on the go. Having a career from home means that I can work from home or anywhere in the world.
As I write this, I’m in a play centre with my kids who are running amok, getting out some energy and avoiding the cold outside. It’s called Inflatable World, and you guessed it, it’s full of inflatables that the kids can climb on, swing on, and slide down. There is even an inflatable Colosseum style arena where the kids arm themselves with over sized inflatable bats. It’s one of the few times the kids have my full support to enter into combat with each other!
They also have indoor soccer. It’s easy to see why the kids want to stay for 6 hours straight (and why I enjoy the distraction of working!!)
I’ve got my trusty MacBook Pro, my phone to tether, a hot drink, and I’m in my happy place working on my business while I know that my kids are having a ridiculous amount of fun. The fact is, when you have an online business, you can work from anywhere.
We’ve also been spending loads of time at one of our other favourite places, a trampoline park called Bounce. It’s kid heaven with wall-to-wall trampolines, and coaches who help the kids learn to do the coolest flips and tricks. Again, the kids spend hours on end having an amazing time on the trampolines, and it gives me the opportunity to work on my business whilst I know they are safe and having fun.
During the April school holidays we headed to our favourite holiday spot along the Great Ocean Road. We were lucky enough to score some unseasonably sensational weather and spent a fabulous week relaxing and having fun. The kids always new friends within minutes of getting there, and they are happy to be playing with their new friends from sunrise to sunset.
I work on the balcony enjoying the view of the wildlife that comes to visit every day. I never tire of seeing the kangaroos and the cockatoos. The cockies are a bit cheeky though and come right up to the door requesting food. Not that we ever mind 🙂
Here is the garden at a most delightful chocolaterie on the Great Ocean Road. I can tell that you that I had an insanely chocolaty hot chocolate (it was basically melted chocolate in a mug), followed by exquisite chocolate ice cream. I rolled out of there and couldn’t look at chocolate for the rest of the break, but it was worth it!
The WiFi is consistently bad where we stay, so I just tether my laptop to my phone and all is good.
The last little while has been cold, so most of my work has been from the comfort of my warm home. On the few days that have been lovely and the kids want to head out we’ve been to our local parks mostly.

Well I must say that you are very lucky to be in a position where you can work from just about anywhere you choose, on your own terms, and own time!
I’ve actually been looking into working online from home myself over the last several months but I’m constantly put off by the amount of ‘horror stories’ I come across involving people being conned/scammed etc.
I do however like the sound of this Wealthy Affiliate option you cover near the end of the article – it sounds like a place that’s actually a safe haven to learn in. Do they accept complete newbies to working online?

Wow! I envy your office. You are really blessed to get to watch your kids play while you work. It has been my dream to be able to work from wherever I am, and not have to worry about getting there late. Balconies, the beach, a hotel..e.t.c.
Seems like you have the freedom to travel a lot. Your day to day activities gives me hope for the near future, of what it could be like if I keep grinding.

thanks for the post. My favorite office location is at home. I’m a nice little girl. WA suits me perfectly. Especially because I have a very strong motivation. The initial plan is 6 years, then see. Hi! Having this type of office sounds so convenient. I didn’t imagine this could be true for anybody that wanted this type of business. I have always thought online businesses required a lot of coding and a lot of knowledge concerning technical stuff.
