  • My recommended way of making money online

What is Survey Money Machines?

  • Website: https://www.surveymoneymachines.com
  • Available in: USA, Canada, UK and Australia
  • Founder: Hailey Gates
  • Operating since: 2005
  • Price: Free to join

How Survey Money Machines works

There are loads of survey type platforms available online and they may seem attractive. They work on the basis that companies need feedback on their products and services. They need to know if consumers are satisfied with their products and how they can improve them. These companies pay market research firms to get consumer information for them, from people like you and me. The market research firms you for your opinions about the particular products they are researching.

Doing surveys from home is a legitimate way to earn income. However, you need to realise that you will have to complete A LOT of surveys in order to make a reasonable income. Surveys work on volume.

And the return for your time is often quite minimal based on the time it takes you to sign up and complete the surveys.

As I was reading the ‘About Us’ page, It turns out that Survey Money Machines is not a real survey company or market research company like Swagbucks. It means that it simply directs you to other sites that do surveys, and they make an affiliate commission when you sign up and complete surveys with those third parties. It turns out that’s why Hailey wants you to sign up for as many surveys as you possibly can – she makes money every time you do.

Let me clear about this – there is absolutely nothing wrong with the business model that Hailey is using – affiliate marketing is 100% legitimate way for her to make money online. In fact, it is the method that I use to make money online, and it’s the method that I promote as my preferred way for people to make money online, by building their own affiliate marketing websites.

Like many similar platforms, it’s easy to sign up and get started. Just be prepared to spend many hours signing up with various companies and doing screening surveys with them so they can match you to their products and services. Don’t expect to qualify for every survey, because you won’t. Some of them are gender specific, age specific, area specific, or require you to participate in a focus group. Do not expect to be receiving hundreds of surveys every day. You can only complete them as they become available, and this may only be once or twice a week.

Some of the survey companies you’ll be referred to by Survey Money Machines don’t always pay out in cash. They may pay out with gift-cards or in-store credit that you can use on their websites. It’s very important that you work out how they pay you, and what the payment threshold is, before signing up to the various companies. You don’t want to be investing your time only to find out that you can only use your ‘pay’ as in-store credit.

Is Survey Money Machines legit?

I can’t say Survey Money Machines is a scam, but there are several red flags for me, which means I cannot recommend this platform for you. I’ll take you through my red flags.

1. The founder – Hailey Gates

On the ‘About Us’ page I found a photo of Hailey Gates who is supposedly the founder of Survey Money Machines. Here is an excerpt from the About Us page, with Hailey’s photo:

Survey Money Machines scam

When I have doubts about the authenticity of photos, I run them through a reverse image checker called TinEye.com. Sure enough, ‘Hailey’ is a stock photo, and she appears on 150+ websites.

Survey Money Machines scam

So now that I know this about Survey Money Machines, I have to wonder what else is fake. Why would any legitimate company use a stock photo and say that was the founder? This should always be a red flag to you. It’s also a good tip – use a reverse image checker whenever you’re in doubt that someone is who they say they are.

It makes me wonder if the name is also made up.

2. Better Business Bureau Rating

The company has a BBB rating of “F” which is the worst available rating.

Survey Money Machines Review

Overall, I believe that Survey Money Machines is not a serious money-making opportunity. You may spend loads of time doing surveys, without getting much in return based on the time spent.

With that being said, doing surveys online can often be an introduction for people to test whether they can actually make money online. You most certainly can make money online, and there is a much better way to do it.

My Preferred Way to Make Money Online

Don’t waste your hard-earned money on shiny objects that over promise and under deliver. If they sound far too good to be true, they probably are.

If you are looking for a substantial and long term way to make real money online, go for something that is reputable. My preferred platform allows people to sign up for free to have a look around and see if it’s for them. You even get two free websites, and the first ten modules of training for free.

What you see is what you get. Nothing hidden, and nothing over promised. I personally use this platform and it is a genuine way to learn how to make money online the right way, using legitimate techniques and methods. You will be taught how to implement the affiliate marketing model.

Remember that once you have built your own niche website and learnt how to attract visitors (using free methods), you can repeat this with as many of your own websites as you like.

The platform is perfect for ANYBODY who wants to find a way to earn money online. You don’t need experience, and you don’t need to be technical.

Explore the platform and get your free account today. It might be one of the best decisions you’ll make. If you have any comments or questions please leave them below, and I’m always happy to help you out.

  1. I haven’t heard much about Survey Money Machines before so this post is really helpful to get a good gauge on the product. I’m always on the lookout for as many ways as possible to generate income online, surveys or not. Most of the time with surveys the payout is really slight. It looks like with this product a lot of time is needed for sign-ups. Great tip on using a reverse image checker. That this company has an “F” BBB score is the icing on the cake for me to steer clear. Your alternative in Wealthy Affiliate is a much better option, highly recommended, well done!

  2. Thanks for your thorough review of the Survey Money Machines platform. There are so many of these survey platforms that have popped up over the past few years, and quite frankly most are not worth the time or trouble. This is why I decided to look at a review prior to taking any action…

It is apparent to me that this one is not even a real site standing on its own, rather they refer you to the real survey sites. This leads me to believe that there is no reason to use the site at all because with a little research you can find the sites by yourself.

The fake photo tells me also that this may be quite dangerous to provide any personal information to, as it quite possibly will be misused. The rating from the Better Business Bureau is also terrible. These two factors are enough for me to stay away and warn my followers to do the same. Good review and thanks again…

  3. Hi! I know you can make some money taking surveys. And I hoped Survey Money Machines would be a good way to accomplish that. But I’m glad I came across your site and I have read about all these red flags. Hailey Gates being a stock photo and Better Business Bureau rating it with an “F” has made me say: “No way, this is not for me!” Thanks for this review!

  4. Surveys can be a way to make some cash online but it would be extremely difficult to generate a lot of it. That’s why I don’t think it’s worth anyone’s time. I liked the reverse image founder tip that you mentioned there. Also, your recommendation looks like a better alternative plus its free to join. Thanks for this

  5. For a second, I thought this website was promoting money making machines but I’m glad it was a realistic review.  I never hear of a reverse image Check and it was pretty cool that you did.  What’s funny is it only took you a few seconds to realize the photo was not legitimate.  Like you said, if they are using a fake photo, what else is fake?  I would stay away from this company based on that alone

  6. Some people like the idea of making money from surveys and while some do make money with surveys, it’s not the kind of money that would replace their full time income at any point in time. However, I think a key thing they miss is how exactly these surveys work. Once they miss that important piece of the puzzle, they run the risk of becoming frustrated when it seems like it’s taking a long time to make even $25. It’s no surprise to me that Survey Money Machine has an F rating.

In addition to which, getting a survey is based on demographics and a host of other variables. To me surveys aren’t really worth it, as there are so many better opportunities anyone can use to make money from home. Personally, I’d rather invest my time doing something that would bring me better returns for my effort. Something like affiliate marketing, which allows me to have multiple streams of income.

  7. Finally, You cleared up so many of my doubts about making money using online surveys, Swagbucks etc-and doing the nerve and mind-numbing exercises where I spent countless hours.

I loved your intelligence for checking the authenticity of the founder’s photo. Just awesome and Thank you, a bunch.

Yes, affiliate marketing is legit with WA. It is not quick to get rich scheme but it is legit. Hours spent at WA is worth compared to crunching pennies (if you are lucky) in an online survey.
