Motivational and inspirational quotes, for you

Motivational and inspirational quotes

I love amazing inspirational quotes!

Motivational and inspirational quotes can very quickly change my mood. They have this wonderful ability to change the way I’m feeling about life within moments. They can give me feelings of hope, possibility, and a sense of freedom. They can also jolt me into action because I feel like I can achieve great things. Sometimes, they just give me a little boost when I need it most.

How is it that simple quotes can have such a big impact on the way we are feeling?

My theory is that when we change the quality of our thinking, we can change the quality of our life, sometimes instantly. Just as positive words can make us smile or a humorous quote can make us laugh, our thoughts react to the world in real-time.

Our thoughts and feelings all determine our actions. Our actions then determine our results. Motivational and inspirational quotes are a wonderful vehicle to retune our thinking almost instantly. We all decide how we are going to think, and the power of motivational and inspirational quotes is that they can alter our thoughts and feelings, which impacts our actions and our results.

Here are some of my favourite amazing inspirational quotes.

I hope you enjoy them.

Motivational and inspirational quotes

I’m going to leave with you some of my favourites. Well, at least they are favourites for today. I find that different quotes resonate with me on different days. Here are todays favourites:

“There are no limits to what you can accomplish, except the limits you place on your own thinking.” – Brian Tracy

“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” – Walt Disney

“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.” – Zig Ziglar

Powerful, isn’t it? I think sometimes we don’t start something because we feel we might not be any good at it, or we might even fail at it. But how do we know unless we give it a go? We just have to make a start, and keep going.

When I started my online career, I had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t know if I was going to be successful. But I must have read my motivational quotes that morning, because I gave it a go! A whole new world opened up before my eyes. I learnt how to create my own websites. I learnt things that I’d never heard of, that are now second nature to me. I joined a community of practice where people can ask questions, help other, and also do modules of training, including live training classes.

I have confidence in something that made no sense to me before I started.

Read here about how I found a practical way to help me build my own dreams, and help me to steer my own future.

  1. Hello Melissa,

There can be little better than starting your day off with a motivational or inspirational thought.

I got rid of my TV so that I stopped watching the news which seems to be filled with nothing but negative thoughts.

Of course it is important to know about what’s going on in the world, but I certainly don’t want to start my day or finish my day with those thoughts…

Better to have those wonderful quotes you supplied resonating around as we make decisions.

I think you best said it “My theory is that when we change the quality of our thinking, we can change the quality of our life, sometimes instantly.”

    I totally agree with you.

Hope to see more of your thoughts!

    Keep inspiring the world.

    • Hi Tim,
I find the news just awful. I stopped watching it once the kids came along because the negativity (and horror) on the news is just too much. I refuse to have it on. I’m not at all brave enough to get rid of the TV though!!
Thanks for your thoughts here Tim, I appreciate it. All the very best to you.
      Cheers

  2. Wow!  What a great list of quotes.  It’s true that reading quotes like this can change your attitude and perception and drive you into action.  I frequently read quotes such as these to get myself motivated.  It makes you look at your own life and realise that struggle and coming out of your comfort zome is how you succeed.  The one really important saying I always think about is the one that says something like “If you do what you have always done you will get what you’ve always got”.  If you want your life to be different you have to change your thoughts and then your actions.  As for being afraid to fail, I think that’s true for me certainly.  I’ve done everything I can to avoid keyword research because as someone who is blind, it’s not easy to do, but thanks to Jaaxy and the community at wa I’ve now learned how to do it in a basic fashion and I’m having my articles ranked too.  WEll done.  This was a pleasure to read.

    • Hi Kerry,

That a great quote that you mentioned here, thank you. I see you’re a member of Wealthy Affiliate too – that’s awesome. Jaaxy is a fabulous tool. I was never confident with keyword research but Jaaxy made it so much easier for me. And of course the supportive WA community always helps when needed.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts here Kerry and I wish you all the best.

  3. I almost don’t feel qualified to comment on all of these great inspirational quotes.

While I also love inspirational quotes, a favorite of mine is a marketing slogan, “Just Do It”.

    That says a lot.

My dad always said that “The most important thing you need to know is to know what you don’t know and that will keep you out of trouble”. I repeat that quote often and I use it to inspire me to learn things that I realize I don’t know about.

I see you have a lot of quotes from Brian Tracy on this article. Is there a book or something that you recommend where I can learn more from him?

It sounds like he probably has a lot to say that I want to hear.

  4. Fantastic quotes Melissa,

I love all of the points you make about keeping a positive mindset and being mindful of our thoughts.  It’s okay and necessary to acknowledge our emotions so that we can start moving back into that positivity.  The key is learning how to turn it around and not wallow in the negativity.  I listened to a Pod cast with Tony Robbins yesterday.  Unfortunately I can’t remember the exact quote, but essentially he said that he doesn’t believe in preaching “motivation” because our passion comes from our desire being greater than the pain.  We choose to take on the pain because the desire to achieve surpasses the suffering.  Being connected to your passion is true motivation.

    All the best,

    Tammy
