My ZoomBucks Review – a legit way to make some money?
I’ve recently heard about ZoomBucks so I thought I’d investigate it further for you. I’d heard that it was popular a few years back. Well it is now back after a four-year hiatus, with the promise to be better than ever. It seems that they have refreshed their site and their offering so i was keen to check them out. I am not entirely sure what caused them to go into hiatus in the first place, but that didn’t stop me from wanting to find out more. In fact, I see loads of offerings that change their name and brand and come back looking the same (red flags!) so when I hear of a site that has been around for a while and relaunched with the same name and better offering I have a reasonable amount of confidence before I even start.
I’m glad that you’re here doing your research about ZoomBucks! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – it’s great to do your research before signing up to online programs, because as we all know, sometimes they are great and we can uncover a little gem, and other times I recommend you run for the hills. With ZoomBucks, no running is required 🙂
Read on and my ZoomBucks review will take you through the following sections:
- What is ZoomBucks?
- How ZoomBucks works
- Is ZoomBucks legit?
- My recommended way of making money online
What is ZoomBucks?
Some basic info:
Price: Free to join
Recommended: Yes, for some extra pocket money
As I mentioned, ZoomBucks is back after a four-year hiatus.
Like most rewards sites, ZoomBucks partners with brands needing engagement as a marketing strategy. The site, in turn, “recruits” members like you and me to do online tasks to help with market research. Afterward, you get rewarded in cash or in kind for these accomplished tasks. Membership is free (and on that note – you should never need to pay to join a site like this).
How ZoomBucks works
This is how ZoomBucks works:
Signing up is easy. It literally only takes a few moments and you enter your email address and a password.
There are a range of tasks to do on ZoomBucks. It’s not just about surveys. I have nothing against surveys as a supplemental way to earn income. I just don’t think it’s the most viable way to go about it (especially since it can get dull and repetitive). And as we all know based on your demographic profile, the surveys can be few and far between.
Some of the survey providers include Your Surveys, Live Sample and Global Test Market. There are also many survey walls to choose from such as PeanutLabs, TapResearch, RevenueWall, TheoremReach, SaySo Rewards, and Pollfish.
Aside from surveys, members can complete offers and watch videos. At least with completing offers it doesn’t require the kind of demographic information that most surveys do. All that a company needs is your name and email address, and you can sign up with a trial offer, test their app, or even get a product to try out.
And while I am NOT a fan of using my credit card for GPT tasks, ZoomBucks does give the cancellation option for both paid and non-paid trial offers. Otherwise, you might find yourself getting surprised by a recurrent billing. With that being said, always do your research on any third party who asks for your credit card details.
You can also get paid to watch videos on the ZoomBucks site. It’s a pretty effortless way to earn some money if that’s your thing, especially for those who see commercials on TV and social media sites regularly. The videos often require you to watch in their entirety. You can accomplish other tasks while doing this and still get credit for it.
It appears that ZoomBucks typically pay a bit higher on specific tasks compared to other get paid to and paid survey sites. Since their relaunch they claim to have increased their survey payouts by around 80% on the average.
ZoomBucks also offers legit partners for completing offers. I’m happy to be familiar with several offer partners since I’ve already come across some of them in other get paid to sites I have seen before – TrialPay, GrabRewards, OfferToro, and AdWall, to name a few.
ZoomBucks Referral Program
ZoomBucks does have a referral program which allows you to earn for every person you refer, plus more when they start earning. Here is a summary:
Countries in Tier 1 include the U.S., Canada and Great Britain. Australia only makes it to Tier 2!
A glance at the ZoomBucks rewards catalog reveals plenty of gaming goodies like PlayStation, Xbox Live, Steam, Nintendo eShop – you know, the kind that younger, tech-savvy kids would blow a gasket over? However, there’s also a tab that’s labeled “shopping” which caught my interest straight away. When I clicked on it, I saw ecoupons for Macy’s, Lowe’s, Staples Rewards, and Gap. There are also gift cards for Walmart, Amazon, PayPal and eBay – stuff that can make working from home just a little bit more convenient. It is great to have a decent range of coupons like that.
Is ZoomBucks legit?
The bottom line is – ZoomBucks is promising. I’m glad it’s back from its self-imposed hiatus, at any rate. I’m even more pleased for its menu of hundreds of rewards, which has something to offer to practically anyone. On top of that, ZoomBucks allows faster payouts at a lower minimum withdrawal amount compared to other rewards sites. At just the equivalent of $3 in earnings, you can already request for a payout, and it will be delivered to your account in approximately 48 business hours.
ZoomBucks is absolutely legit. It was before, and it is now. You won’t become a millionaire so don’t quit your day job! And it doesn’t claim to make you loads of money either. It’s a nice little way to make some extra money on side, and also to test the ‘make money online’ theory – yes it does work!
There is an excellent way to make money online
Whilst ZoomBucks and a host of other get paid to sites will most definitely earn you money online, they will make you some pocket money. If you are looking for a substantial and long term way to make real money online (not just pocket money!), my preferred platform allows people to sign up for free to have a look around and see if it’s for them. You even get two free websites, and the first ten modules of training for free to teach you how to monetize those websites.
What you see is what you get. Nothing hidden, and nothing over promised. I personally use this platform and it is a genuine way to learn how to make money online the right way, using legitimate techniques and methods.
If you have any comments or questions please leave them below, and I'm always happy to help you out.

Hi there, thanks for dropping your detailed review about zoombucks and how to make money with it. Let me say personally am always reluctant to join any platform that involved surveys to make money, probably because of experiences I had in the past. The majority of them do exist as scams without paying, but your recommendations for zoombucks will make me try it out.
Best of luck with ZoomBucks. Whilst it’s certainly a legitimate site don’t expect to make loads of money with it. However I hope it does work for you!
Zoombucks seems to be a legitimate source of extra income online. It seems to have the same model as some other popular rewards sites.
The drawback of this program is that the earning potential on programs like zoom bucks are very poor. In my opinion, the earnings on such programs does not justify the effort put in.
Zoombucks can be useful when used with other programs too.
Thanks for sharing, warm regards
I have to agree – the earnings with these types of programs sometimes don’t stack up against the time investment put in. They are really only good to earn a bit of pocket money on the side, and I agree probably do need to be used in conjunction with other similar sites in order to get the volume up.
All the best.
Thanks for posting this review and clearing my doubt that maybe zoombucks is a scam and don’t pay out anymore, and I am sure that many will be like me and see it as a scam. But never the less I don’t think there is much money to make from doing surveys on the website. There is little money to be made on sites like this.
I will like look at your recommendation and I hope many do that too.
I do think affiliate marketing is the way to go for a longer term and more robust method of making money online. Let me know how you go and all the best.
Hi Admin, this is my first time of coming across the name Zoombucks. It is interesting to know that it has been in existence few years back. Just like you rightly said, it is always vital to research on a particular online program or product before getting started with such products in order not to be disappointed at long last or got scammed. It is good to know that no money is required for signing up and the platform promising enough and above all legitimate.
Yes always do your research!! It’s so important when it comes to online opportunities to make money. There are a lot of dodgy programs and products out there and sometimes it’s hard to tell what’s legit and what’s not.
I wish you all the best.
This is a great product review with all necessary information about zoom bucks. After reading your article, I have understood that this is not a scam and anyone can earn some extra cash by doing some types of offer related activity. But I love your # one recommended program of joining in the Wealthy Affiliate program. I am already in there as a premium member. Thanks for sharing this helpful review.
Cool! I’m glad you’re also loving Wealthy Affiliate 🙂 All the very best to you.
ZoomBucks is good like some other real paid survey sites but they are very few of them that are real in the online world. One thing about survey sites is that the earnings rate is always or mostly minimal despite how promising the site is. I still prefer to stick with wealthy affiliate and that’s my number one recommendation as well.
I agree, the earnings through survey and get paid to sites are often minimal when considering the time expended. I might see you around Wealthy Affiliate! Take care and all the best.
Thanks Melissa for coming up with this great piece on ‘What is ZoomBucks, and will it make me any money? With this your review you have saved internet users who do daily searches the internet for money making programs. Well, I have stopped paying attention to money making programs on the internet because of past bad experiences that has made me lose lots of money. However I would give ZoomBucks a try because of your recommendation. I hope they won’t enter hiatus again soon. Great piece
Make sure you let me know how you go with it! All the best.
Thanks for writing out this article and I must say zoombucks is real and not a scam . Their referral package interests me more. I’m looking for ways to make money online, and zoombucks looks pretty cool. I am glad its service is more than surveys. Thank you for showing us another means of making money online. I will read this post over again.
Best of luck with it and I hope you let me know how you go with it. I also programs like these where there is an affiliate component 🙂
