Intellizoom Review: Earn Money Testing Websites

Intellizoom Review

With new online businesses surfacing every day, and companies spending big dollars on their ideas, it’s no wonder that  getting your feedback on new websites and apps is big business. There is a huge opportunity for you to take advantage of this and earn money testing websites.

Anyone with an online business wants to be confident that they’re doing the right thing and their site provides a great user experience. What better way to find out than to get your direct feedback? Making money testing websites is an awesome way to make some extra money.

Intellizoom pays you to test websites. You’ll be paid to review websites and apps by providing your feedback.

Testing websites from home is a legitimate way to earn income. Whilst you won’t strike it rich, you can certainly make some extra money and quite possibly have a bit of fun along the way.

What is Intellizoom and how does Intellizoom work?

Intellizoom is a part of Userzoom, a user experience research agency.  They operate globally, although at this point, testers must live in the US, UK, Spain or Germany. They plan on expanding this in the future. In order to participate, you must be able to follow directions and think out loud.

Some other mandatory requirements include:

  • Email and SMS text message capabilities.
  • Laptop or desktop computer and/or mobile device.
  • A built in or external webcam.
  • A built in or external microphone.
  • Excellent internet connection (3Mbps or faster).
  • The ability to download UserZoom’s eCertified testing software.
  • A quiet place for you to best complete the studies.

Before you get started, you’ll need to sign up and complete some basic demographic information.  You will need to complete a couple of practice studies before you get into the paid ones. Practice studies are not eligible for pay.

Most studies take an average of 10-20 minutes.

Depening on the type of study, typically three things will be recorded: your face (through your webcam), your voice (through your device’s microphone), and your screen, either from a laptop, a smartphone, or a tablet.

As studies become available, you will be notified via email. Studies are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you want to participate, you should act as soon as possible — studies fill up quickly.  The number of opportunities you receive will depend on your demographics and your quality rating.

Types of Intellizoom studies available

Intellizoom have a few different types of studies. Most invitations will be for Think Out Loud (TOL) studies, possibly in combination with other types.

TOL studies are those in which you think out loud as you complete a task. Your face and voice are recorded as you do so.

Non-TOL studies are those that  do not record your face or voice. Examples of Non-TOL studies include:

  • Card sort studies – you get a list of things to categorize into certain topics.
  • Screenshot Click Test – you get a static image and are asked where you might click on it to find something.

Moderated studies will involve a moderator (a researcher), to guide you throughout the study. These studies will be scheduled in advance.

Diary studies are those where you complete tasks over a determined time period and document your thoughts and findings. These types of studies are also scheduled in advance.

How do you get paid with Intellizoom?

Payment will be sent out within 21 business days (not including weekends) after the completion of the study if your result is approved. Payments are made via PayPal.

Payment depends on the complexity of the study. For studies that record think out loud audio and video, you can expect to make $10 on average. Intellizoom say that for standard surveys, the payment is $2 on average. The payment amount will be specified in the study invitations you receive from Intellizoom via email.

Is Intellizoom legit?

Intellizoom is absolutely legit. Like I say for these types of sites, including survey sites, you will not strike it rich by doing this kind of work. However, you will earn some extra money.

I couldn’t find a BBB rating for Intellizoom. I did find a few reviews on sitejabber (5 in total so we’re not talking loads of reviews of here). The feelings about Intellizoom were mixed.

Testing websites may or not appeal to you. If it does, then IntelliZoom is certainly something you should consider. It’s also a great way for people new to the ‘make money online’ space to test out the model. For some people, once they know that you can actually make money online, it opens up the possibility that an online career is possible.

  1. IntelliZoom seems alright for someone looking to make a bit of cash, but in my opinion waiting to be paid (21 days) is a bit long. But, I know of a ton of sites that have long waiting periods for payments, so 3 weeks isn’t too horrible. And at least IntelliZoom is legit.

    • Hi Nate,

I agree that 21 days does seem excessive. There are certainly other sites that turn around their payments much quicker.

Thanks for stopping by Nate and I wish you all the best.

      Cheers

    • Hi Feji,

Sorry you’ve had negative experiences with sites like this. Are you able to tell me which sites didn’t work out for you?

      Thanks

  3. I only just turned 18 a few weeks ago and have been on the hunt for extra opportunities online. I never realised you could get paid to test sites, that’s definitely down my alley as I am always reading content on sites anyway so why not get paid right.

The only issue is that I can’t make a full-time income with it, which I can understand. I saw affiliate marketing mentioned at the end, that sounds interesting, I will check that out further aswell.

Thanks for sharing this Intellizoom review.

    • Hiya Joshua,

Thanks for stopping by. There are quite a few sites where you can sign up to test websites. I think it’s a pretty awesome way to may a bit of extra money on the side. You definitely can’t make a full-time income doing it though, it’s just for some extra cash.

Affiliate marketing is a great longer-term option. Just be aware that it will take you some time to get it up and running and profitable.

Wishing you all the best Joshua.
      Cheers

  4. Hello. I always come here and  read your article with such a big interest.

For me is the first time when i read a review about Intellizoom and i can say that is sounds very attractive. Testing websites is a very interesting thing and especially when you’re paid for it. Nowadays we have a hard time finding legal platforms that really pay you and appreciate your work. At the moment I am a member of Wealthy Affiliate where I have several sites where I promote different products. I would even like to try Intellizoom to see how far I can get with this online business. This year I set myself to quit my job and focus more on the online world, which is very big and can make you a millionaire.

Thanks again for this and wish you all the best!

    • Hi Nimrodngy,

Welcome back 🙂 I really appreciate you visiting my site for inspiration.

I hope your work on your sites is starting to pay off for you, and hopefully you can achieve your goal of quitting your job this year.

Wishing you all the best, and I’m sure I’ll see you again soon!

      Cheers

  5. Recently I came across an ad on Intellizoom. As you know very well the number of scams and products/programs that under-delivers with low quality is more in numbers compared to the genuine ones. I always prefer to do my research before joining any program. Thanks a lot for the thorough review.

It’s great to know that Intellizoom is not a scam and we don’t need to spend any money to join them. However, as you mentioned this cannot be considered to replace our full-time job or even a part-time job.

I do agree with you. Instead of spending time on this site my recommendation is to try Affiliate Marketing. It will take time and effort but it’s worth the effort.

  6. I have been looking for platforms to earn money testing websites. Based on your review, Intellizoom looks like a great opportunity. I have heard that some of these sites are not accepting many applicants. Do you know how hard it is to be accepted? I applied for the User Testing platform, and my application was declined. Apparently there was a technical difficulty when I submitted my video. I might have a better chance with Intellizoom since I am originally from Spain and bilingual English/Spanish.

    • Hi Jose,

Sorry to hear you didn’t have any luck with User Testing. I’m not sure how hard it is to be accepted into Intellizoom. I would suggest just following the application instructions, and contacting their support team if you have any issues.

All the best to you Jose.

      Cheers,

      Melissa
